FLORA

This collection not only showcases plant life but also the land upon which it thrives.

 

A good amount of my work comes from within forests. In particular, Old Growth Redwood forests. They harbor profound beauty and importance. Within them, I feel wonder, awe, peace, and at times, unease. There is primal energy to these environments that stirs feelings deep within my DNA.

 

I am also particulary drawn to the oak Savanahs and Woodlands native to California. They posses a beauty and energy that resonates deeply with me. The twisted trunks and limbs of oaks are a stark contrast to the soft forms of grass and rolling hills. Being within them are some of my earliest memories. I return often to stay grounded when life's challenges try to sweep me away.​​
